PAGEmployment is proud of its safety record and that its clients share its commitment to provide safe working environments for all employees. While PAGEmployment cannot control the environment where its temporary employees work, it can and does ensure that its clients set and maintain high safety standards and that they include temporary employees in safety council meetings. PAGEmployment will not send its workers into a place that it deems unsafe or where the safety of its temporary employees is not considered to be a priority by the prospective client company.

In cooperation with its workers compensation insurance carrier, the Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Company, PAGEmployment has an established and successful safety program for its temporary employees. From the very beginning, temporary employees receive basic safety training and information on the company's safety program, including its return to work program.

In the event that an employee is injured on the job, PAGEmployment ensures first that the employee receives appropriate medical treatment through one of PAGEmployment's preferred medical providers. An accident investigation is conducted to determine what caused the injury so that steps can be taken to prevent similar injuries in the future. Once the injury has been treated, PAGEmployment takes steps to return the employee to work as soon as possible, even if the duty restrictions set by the medical practitioner mean that the employee must work at some location other than the client site where the injury was sustained.

This program has been highly successful and PAGEmployment has had very few cases where employees lose time from work due to work related injury or illness. This pays dividends by lowering our workers compensation insurance costs and by keeping temporary employees productive doing work for our clients.

PAGEmployment's safety efforts have been so good that it received an award from the Maine Employer's Mutual Insurance Company. In the press release, MEMIC noted that the awards were going to only 11 of its 21,000 policy holders. PAGEmployment, it said, "is a temporary services company, a difficult business when it comes to safety and workers’ compensation. PAGEmployment was cited for its safety management program which has resulted in a 90% reduction in the number and cost of claims over the last thirteen years."
